Time For Truth
As we go through this sometimes mundane existence we call life, it can be dreary with routines that seem endlessly dull at times. This should not deter us from being grateful for all we have.
Most people think of singing as an expression of joy. But there are countless songs dedicated to releasing pain and suffering as well. There are myriad melodies which lift and simply show despair.
On the other side, one's heart can be heavy and be singing a sorrowful song. This relieves pressure. It allows us to release those things which are burdening us. This type of music is not bad or evil.
It is simply an expression of the way one feels. This needs to be done by the individual in order for them to release their innermost emotions. It is much the same as the action of crying.
Why would someone condemn someone for crying? It is merely an expression of emotion. Such it is with sad songs or sad emotions which have a melody all their own.
I have many times had fellow Christians come up to me and try to make me feel bad because my heart was not joyful at the time they happened to come up to me. They try to change what I am feeling inside by saying that I should be rejoicing.
Let me say here and now that Yeshua (Jesus) cried with those who were crying. He did not try to make them feel worse by telling them they had no right to their sorrowful emotions which He gave them when He created them.
So then happy or sad, let your inner man make a new song to alleviate your distress or show your joy to God who knows all thy ways. He appreciates music in all its forms as long as it does not seek to cause irreverent emotions.
May God place a new song in your heart to meet your inner man's needs. Whether sorrowful or joyful. Let not your heart condemn you if your song for a short time needs to be sorrowful.
May God bless you and keep you in His tender loving care.
