Life is Like a Hot Air Balloon

Time For Truth
Like a hot air balloon I rose this morning with the sky being the limit. I made my way up the street for my three mile walk to the local library to do some advertising and surfing of the web to drive traffic to my website.
The cold air cut through me like a knife through butter as I walked against the chilling wind. I was blessed to have read the weather report before I began my three mile journey, so I took my gloves which warmed my hands like a hot belly stove as I walked against the cold.
It was a bit early, so I stopped by the local fast food restaurant and ran into one of my friends who has leukemia. It isn't as bad as many have it and the treatments seem to be helping him. I think he only takes pills.
We laughed and joked as I try to keep the conversation light like a feather so his endorphins kick in to help him heal or at least not get any worse. We ended our get together with a short goodbye and a God bless you.
It was time to make the short walk to the library. I walked at a snails pace as I still had half an hour before the library opened. I enjoyed the sunshine which was overcoming the cold like one overcomes a cold or flue; slowly.
At last I arrived at the library. I still had to wait ten minutes so I sat down on the bench and relaxed like a freshly washed pair of jeans. It opened and I went inside with my expectations rising like that hot air balloon.
When I logged onto the computer, my hightened expectations came crashing down like a lead balloon as I found out the internet services were not working. I patiently waited and waited for about two hours before the services were restored.
But like a falling rock, my excitement fell when after just ten minutes, the internet again went down. Again I waited for about another hour and a half and my patience was rewarded with another fifteen minute session before it crashed again like a freight train derailed.
Finally, after about an hour, it came back up and I was able to write this fascination recollection of my hot air balloon ride. Up-down-up-down-up-down-up?
God bless you the reader.
