Time For Truth
No one can replace a father's influence in a child's life. It will either build a child up to become a better man or cast him down to become a seeker who throughout his life will search to replace what should have been bestowed upon him by his own father.
Thank God for giving me a man whom I could say inspired me to look to God for answers which this world seems to have disregarded in many instances. It was due to his tenacious studies of God's Word through the Bible which caused a spark to be ignited in me to study and find life's answers in a unique way.
Because of him I began studying Scripture at an early age. I too had many faults like me father. I fell short of the glory of God as the Scriptures tell us we all do. Yet I found strength and purpose through the study and incorporation of God's Devine Word into my life.
As I have said, I had many shortcomings. Yet life seemed to have a purpose and a joy to it due to my relationship to my father and to God which was strengthened as I read my Bible.
My father and I had many an argument over the Scriptures, yet they also bound us together in a unique way which I would not have changed for the world. He was a very wise man and I learned many things from him about life and love. I could have learned more if I had been a better listener.
Nonetheless, I thank God for the man in my life known as father. I give him credit where credit is due. He taught me much about how to be a real man even though as I have said I could and should have learned more from the man whom I call father.
