Labels, they can be deceiving. When I was younger and in school, I tried to do everything I was asked or told to do by my teachers. I was there to learn, not mess around. Social Butterflies
Butter flies only when thrown. Just kidding. I suppose Facebook and Twitter have their place just like anything else on the internet. They provide entertainment for some and yet they cause heartache for others. It's like anything else. Someone builds an atomic bomb for defense and someone uses it for offense. Mother's Day
Since my mother has gone on to be with the Lord, I think of mother's day as the day she passed away. She passed on Thanksgiving day, so I combine the two as one. I remember her kindly on Thanksgiving. Usually, I will dream her just before Thanksgiving. The same is true of the anniversary of my father's death. I will dream him a couple of days before. My encounter with Racism
Being of Mexican-American descent, I have had only a very few times where I could honestly say racism was involved with my life. But one incident stands out in my mind. I can honestly say it got the best of me. I was about 25 years old and had asked my father to borrow the car. He told me it was almost out of gas so I would need to use his gas card to fill it up.
